Learning by experience

In October 1999, I bought a boat for the first time in my life. I had just taken early retirement and so had the opportunity to do something more than just sail the south coast of England. I decided I would take off and head for Greece. These pages chronicle the journey that took place over the summer of the year 2000.

There are two versions: the emails I sent on the course of the trip and the journal I kept. The journal was to help me learn about sailing, so be warned -- it's long!
